Set Margins to:

I used 28 pt.
font. I tested Times New Roman as well as Monotype Corsiva. Both worked
perfectly.
Set your
paragraph alignment to “CENTER,” as opposed to “ALIGN LEFT” or “JUSTIFY.”
Type in the
name of your student
Hit the
“Enter” key twice
Type in 2008
and the level of your student (for example, 2008: Level 7)
PLEASE print
out a sample test sheet on blank paper. Hold it up to your certificate to
make sure it works.
Don’t forget to
keep track of the orientation of your print out, so you can feed the
Certificate into your printer in the correct direction.
For your
convenience, I have also attached a sample of template using Times New
Roman, a standard font most computer users have pre-installed.
Just follow the
directions on the template and print out a sample test sheet.

What is
the Music Teachers' Association of California (MTAC)?
The Music
Teachers’ Association of California (MTAC) is a statewide, non-profit,
professional music
organization with approximately 4,000 members. MTAC
has over sixty branches throughout the state,
each dedicated to excellence in
teaching, performance, and music education. Each branch offers its own
program
for professional growth and participates in state-sponsored projects.

Mission Statement
The
mission of the Music Teachers’ Association of California is the
pursuit of excellence in music education:
1)
To promote the stability of the music teaching profession;
2)
To maintain the high professional standards of our members;
3)
To maintain the exacting qualifications for membership in the
organization,
establishing the active member as a qualified, accredited teacher;
4)
To promote the development of musical potential and ability in students.

Code of Ethics
The Music
Teachers’ Association of California is an organization founded and
incorporated in 1897
under the laws of the State of California to promote the
welfare of the music teacher, and to elevate
the educational and teaching
standards of its members. The
exacting qualifications for membership
in the association establish the member
as a qualified and accredited teacher in the community, thus insuring
a
professional status. The code of
ethics maintains a high standard
of personal and professional conduct.
We, the members of
the Music Teachers’ Association of California, having dedicated ourselves to
the
advancement of the standards in music education shall:

Maintain the highest moral standards and conduct towards colleagues,
students, and the community;
·
Participate in the activities of the Association;
·
Respect the dignity and work of our colleagues;
·
Develop and maintain a professional relationship between teachers
and students;
·
Encourage, guide, and develop students toward fulfillment of their
musical potential;
·
Participate in and encourage students to be involved in community
music activities.
What is
MTAC-WLA?
The West
Los Angeles Branch (MTAC-WLA) was organized in 1954 and currently has over 120
members
teaching a variety of instruments and voice. MTAC-WLA
meets bimonthly from October through June,
providing enriching programs through
recitals, lectures, and discussions, giving members new teaching ideas,
methods,
and tools to take back to their studios.
MTAC-WLA publishes a monthly newsletter (Con Brio)
and offers several continuing professional workshops for
its members, including master classes, teachers’
performing workshops, and
teachers’ round-table forums.
MTAC-WLA students participate in numerous
projects and programs, both at the
State level and at the Branch level.
